[Opinion] Batfleck

Dear Internet,
You have again shown us your hatred and wrongful judgement over the past few days. You said horrible things, destroyed a man's excitement for getting this magnificent chance. Ben Affleck is a great actor and a fantastic director and yes, he might have played a blind superhero in the past but you shouldn't judge him on one performance. One bad choice he has made. I mean, look at Colin Farrell as Bullseye, probably in my top 25 list of most terrible villains of all time.

The whole drama you boys and girls are causing is in a way good publicity for the movie. The first Superman movie from Zack Snyder was, well, let's say it was just meh. I didn't care about it either because I'm not into superheroes that much, except Batman. People are using arguments or are yelling that WB has made the wrong choice. Others are saying that this is the same story like Heath Ledger's role in The Dark Knight. First off all, you should never compare a finished trilogy to a Superman sequel. It's going to be diferent and you know it.

Second, Ben Afflick can easily play an older Batman. I mean, wasn't this the point of the whole Dark Knight trilogy? Batman is a symbol and the torch needs be passed to another person. The symbol must live on to protect the world from criminals. Yes, ok, it's not Gordon-Levitt and thank god for that. The trilogy stands on it's own and it had it's run. Just be happy that Nolan made three tw Batman movies and one golden one, thanks to the performance of Heath Ledger. We shouldn't care about the person who's behind the mask. I'll compare Affleck's Batman like I compare Clooney's or Kilmer's Batman. For me, there's only one and that's Bale's Batman. If Afflick manages to do a better job than Bale, I'll be damned happy too. I'll end it with a quote. Fits perfectly.

‘People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy and I can’t do that as Bruce Wayne, as a man I’m flesh and blood I can be ignored I can be destroyed but as a symbol, as a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting.’

Walking Games Trailertime!

The Walking Games: Catching Zombies

It's been a few weeks I've posted stuff so my apologies. I'm trying to get back on the horse and I'm working on new formula's to test on the site. Let's continue our regular schedule!

As we all know Comic Con happened this weekend and with CC alot of new trailers for our favourite movies and tv series. I'd like to share two thingies with you and those are The Walking Dead S4 and Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The Walking Dead seems that it completely went offtrack with the comics so I am kind of excited where this will end. I don't really compare anymore and any comparison is just nice but after three seasons we all have to realize that they want to do something else with it. They have the basic material, the locations, a main story but they are free to do what they want.

Hell, the writers could even kill off Daryl!
Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comics, told this to reporters  after AMC’s The Walking Dead panel: But specifically about the Daryl thing–that fan reaction is going to get him killed. I feel like it’s a dare. Like, ‘Oh, really? You’re gonna riot? We’ll see…we’ll see. No one is safe.”

I guess not. I'm really curious where they're going to take this. The only thing I wish for TWD is that they leave some of the drama and venture out of the prison. The surviving aspect needs to get back on the table again! Let's hope this will happen in season 4.

And let's not forget our second trailer of the week: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Inactive

Greetings and salutations everyone. I'd like to thank you all for following me in my mission to get this blog as popular as it was back in the days. I've been inactive for two weeks and I completely forgot to warn you guys about it so my apologies for that! I'll be posting soon again but I have a lot of stuff happening right now. Thanks for sticking around!

Lego Z

Lego Movie reveals first trailer

The Lego Movie has released a fresh new trailer. The computer-animated adventure comedy follows an average LEGO figure called Emmet who has been mistaken as the Masterbuilder. Our Anti-hero is sent on a mission to defeat an evil dictator who's plotting to destroy the universe... well, kind of.

Emmet is voiced by Parks And Recreation Chris Pratt and is joined by an amazing voice cast which includes Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Alison Bree, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks, Nick Offerman and Will "Lego Batman" Arnett. The Lego Movie was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and opens on 14 February 2014.

World War Z gets a sequel

Brad Pitt will be back for more zombie packed action as Paramount is planning a sequel to World War Z The film truly opened with a big yield of $66 million, financially enough for Paramount to make more movies about the overrunning zombie franchise.

Paramount Chairman Rob Moore has confirmed that the studio is actively developing a second film and Pitt will be joining as producer and lead role.

No idea if this is bad or good news.

The 300 Bald Matt Damons for Elysium

New trailer for 300: Rise Of An Empire

The first trailer for Noam Murro‘s 300 sequel, 300: Rise Of An Empire, has just been released. If you liked the graphic novel wittiness of the original, then pick up your swords, shields and sixpacks and join the new bloody mayham.

The sequel follows a large sea battle between the defending Greeks and the invading Persian army, as well as explains the story behind King Xerxes and his almighty force. Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) marches on the Persian armies with his right hand woman Artemisia( Eva Green ) whilst Queen Cersei Lannister/Gorgo ( Lena Headey ) tries to stop them.

Do not expect a brilliant storyline but a lot of violence and exciting action scenes. 300: Rise Of An Empire will open in the US on 7 March 2014. I'll probably bring a table with me to the theatre and dine in "Hell".

New Elysium TV Spot

Neil Blomkamp's Elysium has released a first official TV spot, in which Matt Damon prepares for an attack on Elysium, the futuristic upper-class sanctuary for the rich.

It's 2159 and the population of Earth is split into two classes: The wealthy inhabitants of the Elysium space station and the poor buggars left on the ruined planet. Matt Damon plays Bald Matt Damon "Max", a man in need of access to the space station. Social world problems and a lot of action. It looks and feels like District 9 so I'm guessing it's gonna be pretty fun to watch.

Co-starring Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga and Diego Luna, Elysium will open in the US on 8 August 2013.

The Desolation of Need For Speed

New epic trailer for The Desolation of Smaug

An epic first trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug has been released online and you can watch it right here.

The film picks up where the events of An Unexpected Journey has left us:  Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and his spicy gang of Dwarves are on their way to reclaim their homeland. Forward to the Lonely Mountain!

But it's not that easy though, with their homeland currently inhabited by Sherlock Smaug, a rather huge dragon played by Benedict Cumberbatch. And there's even more to worry because they're still hunted by Azog the Defiler, a group of Woodland Elves and creatures from the Necromancer, also played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Oh evil evil Cumberbatch.

Part also 2 introduces Evangeline Lilly’s newly created character, warrior Elf Tauriel, Luke Evans’ steely Bard the Bowman and Legolas! Check the good stuff out:

On set promo for Need For Speed

A video game adaption? "Run while you still can" would be my personal answer but this gem might be different. DreamWorks' forthcoming adaptation of videogame franchise Need For Speed has revealed a behind-the-scenes video.

Director Scott Waugh talks about just how exciting the new film will be.
"I'm going to allow you that thrill," says Waugh, "and put you in that seat and let you drive at 200mph". And amid all that, there might be a story in there somewhere too!

Aaron Paul is in it so yeah, cars& nitro bitch! Take a look at the new video here:
